You can get early access to iTunes 7.7 and iPhone 2.0 firmware, just go to software update / install the latest iTunes (after use this link to see the apps) then use this link & instructions to download the iPhone 2.0 firmware. This won't be useful in a few hours, but feel free to tinker around now (I am! - do so at your own risk, etc).
