SNCF says they'll have for-fee service in 1st and 2nd class areas of TGV trains by third quarter 2009 in some trains, and full coverage in 2010. These high-speed trains cross borders in all directions. A free portal will be available for information and entertainment access within a train. Fees for access might cost €5 to €10, which is outrageously high, unless you compare it to the very high costs of Wi-Fi across Europe, where you can pay US$30 or more for 24 hours access in some hotels.
